Unlike many, I did not start drawing and painting when I was a child or teen. I also did not major in art in college, instead I opted for an Electrical Engineering degree and career.  

After working in Engineering for many years, I went back to school to obtain a degree in Interior Design.  It was at this time that I discovered a love of creating and art.  I did not start painting and creating, however, until I retired and moved to The Villages many years later.

I enjoy creating using acrylic paint, but also oil, mixed media, pastel, pen/pencil, acrylic ink, watercolor.….  My subjects can be abstract or surreal, in which case, I like my art to tell a story through a combination of symbolism and color.  I also enjoy painting portraits in which case the story and more importantly the emotion is told and seen through the subject’s eyes.  What I consider the window to the soul.
