I graduated from New York School of Interior Design in 1983 and enjoyed renovating and creating beautiful homes for my clients in New Jersey, California and Colorado.  I've always had a desire to paint, and through my design, my desire only increased.

 While living in Palm Desert, California, I was encouraged by a friend to join a large art group, The Artists of Ironwood, which held an annual three-day juried show,  and I began taking lessons and then attending workshops.  After three years as a member of AOI, I served as president for two years and then chairman of the art show for two years.  

Moving around the country, my time in southwest Colorado afforded me the opportunity to not only do more design work but enter my artwork in the county fair.  My first time submitting a painting, I won "Best of Show". When I moved to the Denver area, I became a member of the Heritage Arts Guild of Denver.  I entered their annual show and received another "Best of Show" award in addition to a First Place on my second entry.

I had a hiatus after experiencing some losses of loved ones, and didn't paint for a few years; but began again in 2019.  I moved to The Villages from West Palm Beach, FL in 2022 and joined The Fine Art Society, where I have enjoyed being a member and meeting other artists.
