My artistic journey is a little different than most. I was born, raised, and educated in Louisville, KY. After a thirty-eight year career in Law Enforcement I retired to central Florida to further my golf skills. In early 2020, during the Covid pandemic, a longtime friend and artist in Louisville offered to teach me to paint. This process began via video calls twice weekly that continue today. It was through this relationship that I discovered how much I enjoy the artistic process.  

My experience as an oil painter centers around landscapes and cityscapes in a relatively realistic style. I do not wish to produce a photographic work but rather have my work reflect a painterly effect. While my art is mostly created in my home studio, I have recently taken on the challenges and opportunities of plein air painting. My main goal now is to improve every day.
